Blog Award: Thank you!

It was brought to my attention that I have received this blog award not one, not two, but three times.... and I was only aware of getting it once. So thank you all who awarded me this award... and since I am mostly back from my vanishing act (though still busy as a bee with school) here is the award and details and a fun Mani I did last night.

Thank you again ladies... I sadly only know of two of you who gave me this award. If you are the third... SPEAK UP! northernnails acetonenailblog

And of course there are rules for every reward:
1. Thank and link the person who gave you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers
4. Contact these bloggers to tell them about this award

7 things about me:

1. I am a recovering self injurer. Have been for over three years and will continue to be for the rest of my life.

2. I love frogs... I collect frog stuff. Frogs make me squeal like a school girl seeing some pop boy icon on the street.

3. I don't know how to keep my mouth shut, if I have a problem with you, you will very likely know quickly. I am a no nonsense, zero tolerance kinda gal.

4. I am not very good with people. When I say this, I mean relationships. I can be friendly and helpful, but I am not very good at friendships and such. I view the world differently from most, I see everyone as being on the same level, where most are competitive and see everyone either above or below them.

5.I lived on Graves road for 13 years of my life. How is that for something creepy?

6. If I had my way I would have music playing 24/7 around me. Music is my life blood. It allows me to express how I am feeling, change my mood and relax.

7. I have more tattoos and piercings (have had piercings) than I can keep track of.

blogs that I think deserve this award:

OK so i didn't get to 15 blogs... deal!?!

Nails of the moment as promised- flashback to my first blog post Lisa Frank Nails. Instead of Leopard print I went with zebra and skipped out on the pink stripe for a yellow. Fun or what?

Where have you been?

Hey guys!

Yeah I am betting some of you are wondering where the heck I have been. Well I have been taking a break from blogging to be busy with being sick, going to school, breaking myself (aka falling on the ice and injuring myself) and finally catching up on housework and taking down Xmas decorations. Whew!

Also, my nails have been a wreck lately. All they want to do is peel. I put polish on them but by the end of 24 hours one of my nails is ruined because one of my nails has peeled. Because of this I shockingly didn't wear polish for a whole week. One of my classmates even noticed I wasn't wearing polish. I took my week break but it didn't help. They are still peeling even though I cut them as short as I could and filed them everyday. So I give up. I am going to polish them and live with some messed up Mani's. HA!

So while I was in Washington I scored some fun finds that I have to share with you guys, I would have more Mani's to share if my SD card hadn't corrupted itself. I swear me and technology just do NOT get along. I am not vanishing, I promise that much ladies and gents! Just catching up on life and now getting back into my groove.

So until my next image filled post, HAPPY POLISHING!

Guest Nails: One hot blizzard

These are my cousin Linda's hands. She loves snowflakes so we went through all of my plates and found the ones that had snowflakes one them. I was a bit surprised to find I had so many plates with snowflakes on them.

For these nails we used OPI- Im not really a waitress, Konad- white and China Glaze- Cheers to You.

I cant remember which plates were used to be honest. But I am pretty sure that any snowflake image for stamping would work. In our case out of like four plates we used two of them and alternated flakes.

As you can see each nail is different. I randomly placed first the snowflakes in white and then snowflakes in silver. Honestly I think we should have done silver and gold but she wanted white and silver. Still its a lovely Mani and one that I have done before on myself and very likely will do again.

Happy Polishing!

Guest Nails- New Years Party

More guest nails here... these are my sister Lily's nails. Pretty simple but fun. You will have to pardon the rather bummed pictures. My camera battery died and I had to use my moms. Hers does not have a good macro setting at all.

And another somewhat bleh picture. Colors used are Milani- Cyberspace and China Glaze- Party Hearty.
Feel free to click for a better view.

Happy Polishing!
