Pretty in Pink

Yesterday I randomly wanted to wear pink. I am not usually a pink enthusiast. I like the musician, think it is cute on baby girls... but just don't find it a color to wear alone on myself. So here we have it. A rare day of myself in pink eyeshadow. Maybe this color will grow on me, but I am not counting on it.

Colors used:
NYX- Strawberry milk
NYX- Milk
Concrete Minerals- Prude
Evil Shades- China Doll (this is a blush color but I used it as an eye shadow)
Sugarpill pressed eyeshadow- Bulletproof
MAC Technakohl Liner- Full of Fuchsia

Hope everyone is beating the heat somehow. I know its been crazy here. We had a week straight of over 100 degree weather. Tell next time... Happy polishing!

Diva

I did this diva-ish or egypt themed mani and makeup look around halloween.

Glacial

I did this eyeshadow look a few times over the holiday season. Very cold and fitting for the cool days of winter.

Its electric with fux crackle

Neon faux marbling with faux crackle. I did these the same day as the rainbow eyeshadow. I was screaming 80's child for sure.

Rainbow Shadow

Bored one evening I pulled this out of me bum. I had seen rainbow eyeliner but I turned it into a full lash to crease shadow deal.

Independence Day Stars and Stripes

Happy Independence Day or as most people know it 4th of July. This is my LOTD. I played with and toyed with this idea for awhile before finally finalizing this for todays LOTD last week. I am very happy with it.

The stars are just craft stars that are glued on with eyelash glue.

For a full list of products used check out my makeupbee page.

Now for my nails I used a Revlon color named Blue Lagoon. Its a Pastel blue with a silver shimmer in it.  Three Konad stamping polishes were used as well (red white and blue) including a konad plate  for the stamped splater looking overlay.

For a tutorial on how to achieve more than one color in a single stamping see HERE. An FYI the tutorial is a bit loud so turn down your speakers... but it does give the general idea on how to get the nail look I did. Video quality isn't the best either, still best I could find on the web after searching. This tutorial is now on my list for a future blog posts.

Could not for the life of me tell you now what plate I used... I pulled a no no and broke into the nail box and already re-taped it up. I think the family may suspect my breaking into closed boxes but if I keep breaking into them they might think it ok to do the same themselves. Best just leave the box alone and keep the plate number a mystery eh?

As always happy polishing! And having a wonderful/ safe Independence day.

Valentines magic

For Valentines day I came up with this cute Mani. A field of heart grass and a dove with silver ribbons behind  the dove to accent it. I loved how it turned out. Got so many compliments on it and some business to boot.

Chocolate Rose Wallpaper

This Mani reminds me of wallpaper. It was just a random thrown together nail look for no specific occasion.

Wind Swept

This is what some wind swept hair looks like... thanks to my fiances mad driving skills and his crazy truck with the windows down LOL. At least my crazy neon eyeliner is intact even though I look like a deer in the headlights.

Star Gazer

Coraline is one of my favorite movies. I love the garden scene at night. I did this Mani after watching the movie one day.

Flamepoint and attitude

I was goofing around in the fall and wanted to use orange. Orange really brings out my eyes, but can make me look kinda sickly... still I had fun goofing around as my attitude pics proclaim. Just go ahead and laugh at my faces. I won't mind one bit.

Snowmen w/ and w/out

I tried these snowmen with and without a back round color. I personally like them better without the back round color. They were fun for the week I wore them though :)

Whoo Who

I bring to you today a special post. I am bumping a previously schedualed post to bring you my first Mani of the new Bundle monster plates set that I recieved monday. I had to go to the store to buy cheap dollar polish to do this Mani even but it was worth the 3 dollars. Look OWLS!!!

I was so excited for these plates as they showed the drool worthy images every wenseday. I have so many ideas running thru my head for more Mani's now. Ive been itching to do my nails since I packed everything. This Mani was done with polishes Wet and Wild- Sugar Coat, On a trip and Bon Bon- black for stamping. I used plate BM- 309.

These Owls are just too adorable. Then again I love owls. Always have. Right up there with my love for frogs.

So I am sure the blog world will be buzzing with these plates for weeks from now with all sorts of Mani's. Bundle monster now has three sets of plates you can buy from them. Each a steal compared to the konad plates and each series they put out just gets better. Cant wait to see what they come out with next.

Happy Polishing!

Sunset Under Cloudy Skies

Another FOTD. This is from about a month ago. I think I was going out for dinner with the family when I did this. I can remember to be honest. Oh well. Enjoy and be inspired if you will.

Egg Gradient

For Easter I did these awesome nails. So simple to do with makeup sponge gradient and stamping, but so much fun all at the same time. I know some people would think otherwise on the simple part, but I loved how these turned out and still think they are pretty simple compared to other methods of doing gradients. This is on my to do list with darker colors and metallic polish for later. For the gradient tutorial that I found and used see link HERE. I think that from now I this is my go to gradient technique.
