Neon reds and glitters... Swoon! All six colors today are from my last haul. All of these are from China Glaze. I am actually quiet happy I swatched these. In the bottle three of these colors looked really similar but swatched I can see how different they are. I'm a bit giddy to start using these for some Mani's.

All of these are two-three coats with no top coat. Left to Right: Doll House, Japanese Koi (Neon), Mahoganie, Tarnished & Varnished, Treasure Chest, Rose Among Thorns (Neon)

Doll House is a clear lacquer with large pink hexes in it. Took three coats to get this packed but check out that glitter! I really dig this.

Japanese Koi is a red-orange neon polish. I personally had hoped that it would be orange-red but its not too bad.

Mahoganie is a real gem. Its a wine Burgundy base with a ton of holo and silver glitter in it. The sizes of the glitter range from small to dust and the effect is amazing. I could have stopped this swatch at one coat but went with two just to error on the side of caution since I am using flash.

Tarnished & Varnished is an interesting color that I don't think got much hype at all. It was in a discount area of the site I ordered my last haul from and I really like it. Its a bright pink/orange with glitter dust in it. It looks like a shimmer but the particles catch hints of purple, blue and red in various light. I don't think I could ever photograph this polish properly at all. I grabbed this on an impulse and am not disappointed at all.

Treasure Chest is a clear base with various sizes of gold/yellow glitter. This polish has had a huge hype from many bloggers and I can see why. Its gorgeous with a few coats and builds nicely. I have read that alot of people had a hard time finding this gem, but I seem to have found it without a problem. Maybe I just got lucky.

Rose Among Thorns has got to be my fave neon other than highlighter green that I have ever bought. It is a dusty rose neon. Really how can I not love it? In the bottle it and Japanese Koi looked identical but swatched they are very different. Even my photos somewhat skew the colors of them (darn crap camera). This is a color I would suggest anyone pick up if they get the chance. If you give it a try you wont regret it! Also this neon wasn't streaky like the others, which was a pleasant surprise for me.
So anyone got an itch for any of these now? Got any requests for Mani's with any of these shades? Leave me some feedback.
Happy Polishing lovelies.
Mahoganie is amazing! I love these! Nice swatches! Im the biggest fan of china glaze!
ReplyDeleteLove Doll House!I think it would look awesome layered.
ReplyDeleteI just got a nail wheel from Sally's, but where did you got those cute nail spoons? I like them! :)
If you look back in my posts I bought Zoya Spoons awhile ago... I took the spoons I didnt like and took the polish out of them. They work great for swatching. Once I buy the colors I like I am going to clean out the rest of my spoons and re-use the rest as well.
ReplyDeleteCool!, I thought about doing that but with the nail wheel that they just sent me, just replace the colors that I don't like, for the ones I like :). thanks!
