Midnight Dreams

First of all, I love it when there is a sale on nail polish. Second I LOVE this polish combo! Ive been reading the Midnighter's series over the last week and when I put these colors on it immediately reminded me of blue time. If you haven't read the books then i don't expect you to really understand what I'm talking about... just smile and nod.

Both of these colors are by Sinful Colors. The black with the sliver bits is called Secret Admirer. The Jelly blue with all the glitter and flakies is Nail Junkie. Oh and yay for my first flakie-ish color!

Taking a cue from a trend I have seen lately and a recent post on this awesome blog - painted lady fingers ,I did a two coat base of Secret Admirer, let dry and then I did a gradient effect with the Nail Junkie.

This is a better true to life image. I only wish it would have been sunny instead of cloudy. Oh and before anyone asks, yes my left had says fish, yes its a real tattoo. When I put my knuckles together they read GOLDFISH. I will have to post a pic of both knuckles sometime.

Finally because I felt compelled after 12 hours of wear, I added stickers to my thumb and ring fingers. Sadly I fear that as much as I love this look, all of the ideas I have swirling thru my head are going to break my love and lead me to more fun nail art. Please ignore my lack of clean up... I was feeling lazy, not to mention really tired. My cats kept me up two nights in a row. I think I was lucky to get 2 hours of un-interrupted sleep at a time each night. Here I am today with finally clean nails after picking at the polish edges in the shower and I am already thinking about taking it all off. I am going to do my best to resist until tomorrow!
